I had booked an excursion through TripAdvisor to go to Chichén Itzá, “a cenote” (none specified) and Valladolid but, after 12 hours, still didn’t know where we were to meet our guide and transport. He said I needed to check in about my return transport. Within a few hours of arrival I had received an email from “Hugo, my Amstar representative”. I thought booking with a smaller company over the large transportation vendors was a good idea and regretted this decision.We had prearranged transport from the airport through Amstar when we made our resort reservations. In both cases I saw competitor vans arriving and departing on time. If you want to be on time to the airport, I would not recommend this company. We ended up being picked up 40 minutes after our scheduled pick up time. They texted back 10 minutes later and said there was an issue. When it was time to depart, I called reliable when our van was 10 minutes late. It’s not ideal to be waiting at the Cancun airport exit with a child and a bunch of bags trying to search for the company.

After waiting for about 15 minutes and weaving through the crowd, I finally got a text that the driver was there. Upon exiting the airport, I saw signs for all the other companies I chose Reliable over and was unable to get ahold of anyone. We were very disappointed that the van was late for both our arrival and departure. We felt so safe throughout our entire experience thanks to Tirso and Mariana and the rest of the Reliable Transfer team! 10 out of 10 we will be using them again, and referring them to any of our friends traveling to Cancun!įound this company to have great reviews and booked over a few other options. She was also super sweet, and so so helpful with booking our transportation, and any other questions I had. When emailing the company, I worked with a woman named Mariana.
We enjoyed both of our commutes with our sweet friend, Tirso, so much! We will definitely be requesting him on our future visits to Cancun! He told us about all of the different things there are to experience around Cancun such as Mayan ruins, snorkeling and scuba diving tours, different parks, and adventures that are available. He told us about the history of the city, and explained cultural differences to us not just between America and Mexico, but also between the different Hispanic cultures. He educated us on our commute to and from the resort. Tirso was such a great chauffeur! He was so friendly, kind, and personable. Oh, and 2 warm towels to clean our hands! Neither my husband, nor myself have ever been greeted with such hospitality and gifts on a cab ride before, and we are from the south. We were greeted by our driver, Tirso, with one dozen white roses, a bottle of champagne, 2 champagne glasses, and a cooler with 2 types of beer in case we didn’t like champagne.
CANADA TRANSFER CANCUN HOW TO
Reliable Transfer gave us very detailed instructions on how to find them once we got off our flight, and what we needed to be aware of and look out for while trying to find our driver. We used Reliable Transfer to get to and from the airport and our resort. I recommend that if you are looking for a transfer from Cancun Airport, you need not look any further than Reliable Transfers & Tours. We have been to Mexico many, many times and this was the first time we used Reliable.and it will be our go to from this point on.
Because of their colours and logo, they are easy to spot and made it easy to access them. The driver each time was very punctual and was at the location each and every time when scheduled to be there. Mariana and Reliable took that stress away. I found that very comforting because when you're out of country and depend on others to take care of planned needs, it can be very stressful. I received emails from Mariana the day before each transfer was to occur, to let us know that the driver would be there at the scheduled time. The other two were more than double the price for the three transfer requests. Ironically, only 2 other companies responded to my request. She understood what our needs were and sent us a quote very quickly. I sent out 7 emails to various transfer companies and right away I received a response from Mariana from Reliable Transfers & Tours. Then lastly, from the second hotel back to the airport.
This meant I needed to organize 3 different transfers.one from the airport to the first hotel, then from the first hotel to the second one. My family and I were travelling to Cancun (Post Pandemic) and in doing so, decided to spend 2 weeks in Cancun.
